Feeding kids food and Book drive how-to
Host a food or book drive at your organization to help stock the Feeding Kids shelves. It is simple, easy, and effective.
How to make a Feeding Kids Cleveland County Food OR Book Drive a success!
Choose your food or book drive collection time frame.
If you are hosting a food drive, print and make copies of the shopping list to distribute to your members, employees, and customers.
If you are hosting a book drive, let your members, employees, and customers know that we accept books of all reading levels from baby books to high school books with appropriate subject matters. Please make sure all books are in good condition (no rips, stains, or water damage.)
Post on your website/social media and anywhere else people will see it!
Send Feeding Kids Cleveland County any information you have about your upcoming drive and tag us on social media (Facebook and Instagram) and @feedingkidscc and @readingkidscc.
Decide if you want each group/class/department to sponsor a different item. For example,
The yoga class members would be responsible for bringing canned chicken.
You could even make it a friendly competition!
Choose a donation spot that is very visible and easy to find.
If people forget to bring their food donations, they can write a check or donate online!
Checks should be written to Feeding Kids Cleveland County. Online contributions can be made at feedingkidscc.org.
When all donations are collected and your drive is over, please contact Heather at info@feedingkidscc.org to arrange a pick-up or drop off of all items collected.
